Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology Led 40 Civic Actions Across the Czechia in the month of October
Spanning from the capital city to the country’s second-largest city, dedicated individuals turn moral principles and care into visible civic improvement.
Prague, Czech Republic — October 31st, 2025 — Throughout the month, the Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology came together in cities throughout the Czechia to restore public spaces, aid local charities, and foster a renewed public engagement in 4 major cities — Prague, Brno, Plzeň and Pelhřimov.
In just one month, they completed over 40 activities, mobilizing hundreds of volunteer hours in environmental and humanitarian efforts based on L. Ron Hubbard’s “The Way to Happiness”, the practical moral code created by Hubbard.
Teamwork That Delivers Results
Each week, 15 to 20 participants worked together in 11+ civic actions, logging 117 hours of service — in addition to another 100 hours for a large-scale restoration effort in the city of Brno.
That single initiative collected 150 bags of waste, converting overgrown grounds into functional parks. In Plzeň, volunteers confronted an derelict woodland area left in unsanitary conditions after temporary encampments, clearing away hazardous debris with thoughtfulness.
“This isn’t glamorous work,” one volunteer noted. “But if we don’t take responsibility, who will? Every cleanup is about restoring dignity — to our environment, our fellow citizens, and our own sense of purpose.”
Interfaith Solidarity
The period also featured hands-on interfaith cooperation. The team collected and delivered clothing donations to a Catholic charity, reflecting a commitment to unity that transcends religious affiliation.
Mr. Arjona, the Church of Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe, and UN, spoke about the universal value of such service:

Numerous local VMs also hand out the The Way to Happiness during their outreach. Written as a secular moral guide, it presents twenty-one guidelines supporting self-respect, truthfulness, and care for nature — principles demonstrated through the volunteers’ weekly initiatives.
These humble but ongoing actions show how moral awareness and community involvement go hand in hand. “With personal accountability, communities grow more resilient and kind,” said Arjona.
Local Appreciation and Continuing Momentum
City officials in multiple Czech cities have praised the Volunteer Ministers’ consistent efforts. Their visible, hands-on presence — whether tidying walkways to caring for green spaces — has motivated residents to participate in or initiate their own local efforts.
